Has anyone rented a boat for the canals in France? If yes, what company did you use? Would you recommend doing it?
We are considering taking this trip in 2008 with a group of friends. We anticipate renting three boats. We have not decided what route to take yet. Any suggestions?

I have never rented a canal boat, so i can not give you advice about the different companies, but if you have to choose one canal go to " canal du midi" in south of france. It is wonderfull...
