Do you need a full drivers licence in Australia to drive a houseboat?

I and my cousins are planning a houseboat holiday together. We will be 19, 17, 17, and 16, and all have our P driving licences. I was wondering if we would be able to take this venture on our own, and if we would be allowed to drive? The companies website doesn't say.

Mate I am pretty sure you dont need to be licenced to drive the houseboat due to the engine size and top speed.

Like I said I am pretty sure, try this link and bang em an e-mail they will be more than happy to help.

They are the authority for NSW but they will foind the answers you need for other states within Australia.

Happy boating - you will have a blast in Oz
