Advice on camping and cycling by the Canal du Midi, France please?
Can anyone recommend a good shortish section of the Canal du Midi for a day's cycling for 2 middle-aged occasional cyclists? We're after a stretch of about 10 km that features the classic tree-lined tow-paths (i.e.. 20 km there and back). If there are other interesting sights along the way so much the better.
We're travelling in a campervan so if you know of a nice campsite that could be our base for this expedition I would be very grateful. Many thanks.

For the best scenery, I recommend anywhere between Bram and Béziers, about a 70 km stretch. The towpath is available for bikers along most of the distance. One exception is the Malpas tunnel just west of Béziers but you can easily climb the hill through which the tunnel passes.
One very popular cycling segment is between Carcassonne and Trebes which is about 12 km each way. The pathway is reserved for cyclists. If I remember correctly there is a camp ground in Trebes on the south side of the canal just across from the LeBoat base.
There is another pathway for cyclists between Béziers and Port Cassafieres about 13 km to the east of Béziers. There is a campground at Vias-Plage about 2 km east of Port Cassafieres.
