Or take a journey back in time to a bygone age by visiting Yesterday's World, a relatively new attraction at Great Yarmouth. This interesting museum attraction offers a view into the past with displays such as an amazing fairground carousel, Queen Victoria, Frankenstein, Wheelrights and much more to keep the family amused. Even with all of the new, contemporary additions to this romantic vacation spot that is Yarmouth, Yesterday's World offers an amazing insight into a piece of history.

The peaceful haven of Great Yarmouth used to have one of the busiest fishing ports and the locals are still full of many affectionate and exciting stories about the fishing fleets of the past. Unfortunately now there is only the odd commercial fishing boat left in Yarmouth's port due to the decline in fishing throughout the area. Another piece of Yarmouth's history and fame is due to Anna Sewell, who was born in the quaint town of Yarmouth. Now we know where she got the inspiration to write the best seller, classic book "Black Beauty".

Identifying an author/title for ghost story collection book?
I can't remember either the author or the title (shame on me) but do remember that it would have been published in the early 1980's. It was a small hardback for 10 - 15 year old readers, and had a collection of about ten stories. The first one was a story about a boy who dreams his plants are out to get him, and who manages to avoid death by a potted plant that his mother gives him, only to be flayed to death by the roses in the garden as he tries to escape the house. The second or third was about a boy called Dean whose father had bought a bronze statue at a police evidence auction. The statue itself comes to life, and tries to kill his family, implying that the crime it was involved in was a supernatural one. The final story I remember from the collection was one of two boys who go out on a boat in the Norfolk Broads, only to become stranded ghosts in the fog. ...Can ANYONE recognise the collection? I'm a librarian, and at my wit's end as to what it could have been. However, it was a UK book, not American.

Is their electricity on a cruiser of a night time?
I am just about to go on a " cruiser" on the Norfolk broads for the first time with my family for a short Easter break. Is there electricity avaliable to us at night time. The sort of boat we are on is 38 foot long with two bedooms, cd and dvd player etc? The reason I ask is that my husband says we have to find a place to moor and plug in to a generator...is this true or is he winding me up? I don't do antiquated!
